MAKING OF STALKER
Filming the Movie
First off, we've acquired a Nikon Coolpix L110 digital camera with a 15x optical wide zoom, vibration reduction, 1080 x 720p HD video recording, and a 12.1 effective megapixel quality. We are going to film it using a tripod for extra stability, as well as utilizing the "wilderness" where the movie will be shot. We have several filming locations in New England, all with lots of woods and hills and rocky areas. We have urban areas as well for other scenes. We will not zoom in during videos as it is a practice we despise; also, only the quality-destroying digital zoom can be used during video recording. Other ideas have emerged for how to film some scenes. We can ride in the open trunk of a slowly-moving car during filming, as well as sitting in a lawn chair with a bunch of balloons and flying off for aerial views.
For standard shots not requiring audio in the recording we will be using the wonderful Nikon Coolpix L110 which captures at 1280 x 720 pixels at 29.97 frames per second. What makes it very nice is the good-sized image sensor for a high-end point-and-shoot.
For shots that require lightweight, inexpensive, and less cumbersome cameras, we will use Flip Video cameras that can capture up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at 59 frames per second.

Special Effects
We are using different types of special effects software to create things like transitions and muzzle flares for our movies. For some of the rather basic video editing, we'll be using Apple's iMovie. More intricate special effect-requiring scenes will necessitate using Adobe After Effects, and the whole project will be compiled with Sony Vegas Pro. 3mm is spearheading the effects department. We have also located a site that contains some very good fake blood and fake wound recipes; their links are below.

Check out Freddie Wong's videos on YouTube (freddiew and freddiew2). He gives excellent tutorials on the short action clips he makes with his friends. (By the way, this is his profession--he IS an adult and has been to filming college or whatever it's called).

This is the oldest character list from April.
...Oh, yeah: I'm kidding about the whole "FBI" thing.

Props
Well, we're gonna need one heck of a lot of guns, plus lots of other good crap (oxymoron) to use in making the movie awesome. We will be utilizing all-black air soft pistols and assault rifles. For a cheaper and less...er,incriminating...option we will use spray-painted dart guns from a company called Buzz Bee Toys. Their weapons are extremely realistic...they just need to be "tweaked" a bit. We've also purchased other realistic weaponry for very little cash, and got a bunch of scary and realistic crap at iParty.
